This may be the most fun project I’ve ever completed. A robot gumball machine that dispenses poetry by the renowned LindoYes, as well as mental health resources, hosted by The Museum for Art in Wood? Perfect. Of course, I had an excellent committee to help me.

Of course, it had to work first. So, I spent a while testing prototypes. Eventually I developed a mechanism that worked with varying sizes of walnut shells (made by the talented Jennifer Eckinrode). It was no easy task, but it works!

This project took months of development and work, and even required developing and machining my own pulleys for it to work. I couldn’t have done it without an excellent team. That team is Katie Sorenson, Lindo Jones, Jennifer Eckenrode, Savannah Cooper-Ramsay, and Joann Rinyu.

Please take a more in-depth look on the Museum for Art in Wood’s own page HERE.
